We are proud to announce that Volttera has officially joined the Saudi AgriFood Tech Alliance (SAFTA), strengthening our connection with Saudi Arabia’s growing AgriFood technology and innovation ecosystem.

The membership was formally recognized during GreenTech Amsterdam 2025, where a high-level Saudi delegation, led by Eng. Mansour Hilal Al-Mushaiti, Vice Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture, participated in the signing ceremony welcoming new Dutch companies and research institutions into the Alliance.

For Volttera, this was a particularly meaningful milestone. Tamer Nozha, Founder & CEO of Volttera, had the privilege of meeting the Vice Minister and members of the Saudi delegation in the Netherlands and participating in this important moment of Saudi–Dutch cooperation.

SAFTA is a national platform established to connect and mobilize stakeholders across the food and agriculture ecosystem and to accelerate the adoption of innovative technologies in Saudi Arabia. Its objectives include facilitating partnerships, knowledge exchange, networking, technology deployment and collaboration across the AgriFood sector.

A Strategic Fit for Volttera & HPiON

Our participation in SAFTA aligns strongly with our vision of developing AI-powered, autonomous and off-grid infrastructure for agriculture, food security and climate resilience.

Through our technologies, including AI-BESS, autonomous cold storage, renewable energy systems and intelligent climate-control solutions, we aim to support agricultural producers and food-sector organizations operating in challenging environments.

Our focus includes:

  • Off-grid autonomous cold storage
  • Renewable energy and AI-driven energy management
  • Food-loss and post-harvest reduction
  • Desert and harsh-climate agriculture
  • Energy-efficient agricultural infrastructure
  • Food security and climate resilience

The partnership also supports our broader strategy to build bridges between Dutch technology and the Saudi, GCC, MENA and African markets, creating opportunities for technology deployment, local partnerships and future pilot projects.

“Joining SAFTA represents more than membership. It is an opportunity to collaborate with Saudi stakeholders to bring practical, scalable and sustainable technologies to the agricultural and food ecosystem.”

Looking Ahead

Volttera and HPiON will continue working toward strategic partnerships and pilot opportunities that can contribute to Saudi Arabia’s food-security, sustainability and technology-localization objectives, while supporting the broader transition toward resilient and resource-efficient agriculture.
